Éste es, según muchos aficionados a los vinos rosados catalanes, uno de los mejores ejemplos de lo bien que funciona la uva garnacha tinta en la elaboración de rosados. Ullones ofrece toda la golosidad de la fruta bien madurada y la acompaña de unos discretos tonos amargos que permiten gozar del vino sin reservas. El viento de Tramuntana sacude las cepas refrescando sus uvas e imprimiendo todo el carácter del Empordà en cada botella de Ullones.

The production region of D.O. Empordà is located in La región de Ampurdán (Empordà), hasta 2006 denominada Ampurdán-Costa Brava, abarca la zona vinícola desde la Albera hasta la sierra de Rodas y la Garrotxa de Ampurdán, en España. El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
