El tercer vino de Château Haut-Bailly se comercializa con el nombre de su denominación, Pessac-Léognan, y vio la luz por primera vez en 1987. Elaborado con uvas de viñedos de poca edad y envejecido en barrica durante un tiempo más corto que el resto de vinos de la bodega, el resultado es un vino muy accesible que puede disfrutarse desde muy joven. Envejecido en barricas de roble francés.

The production region of A.O.C. Pessac-Léognan is located in La margen izquierda del Garona. Está inmediatamente al sur de la ciudad de Burdeos (con una pequeña porción al oeste), de hecho, algunos de los viñedos del norte de Pessac-Léognan están completamente rodeados por las urbanizaciones de Burdeos, como resultado de la expansión hacia el sur de la ciudad.
