La viticultura y la elaboración de vinos les viene a los Peique de familia. Ramón Valle plantó entre los años 1930 y 1950 las primeras cepas guiado por el instinto y formando un entramado de microparcelas, principalmente en laderas, un paraíso para la uva mencía donde sólo es posible el trabajo manual. Los suelos, de piedra y arcilla, y un clima de transición entre atlántico y continental dotan a los vinos de esta bodega y en especial a su Viñedos Viejos de un gran frescor y elegancia. Criado durante 12 meses en barrica de roble francés y con 12 meses más de reposo en botella, el Peique Viñedos Viejos es un tinto elegante, con fruta negra madura, notas de tabaco, cuero y pimentón, amplio y sabroso en boca, sofisticado, con sensaciones de terciopelo, tierra...: un bierzo de estilo clásico. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas seminuevas de roble francés (60%), ruso (30%) y americano (10%) y, posteriormente, durante otros 12 meses en botella.
