Es la viña con la que habíamos soñado: cepas viejas, de 111 años, orientada a levante y plantada sobre pendientes de pizarra. La tramontana la toca de sesgo y el sol de poniente la acaricia en verano, así que conseguimos un buen nivel de madurez sin perder acidez. Los viñedos son en vaso y apenas levantan unos palmos de tierra. La poda es muy corta y tiene unos rendimientos bajísimos (2500 kg/ha). El uva se cosecha a mano en cajas de quince kilos y seleccionamos en la misma viña.

The production region of D.O. Empordà is located in La región de Ampurdán (Empordà), hasta 2006 denominada Ampurdán-Costa Brava, abarca la zona vinícola desde la Albera hasta la sierra de Rodas y la Garrotxa de Ampurdán, en España. El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
