Carroleón y La Gamonal son los pagos que dan nombre a los dos tintos crianzas de Pardevalles. Suelos pedregosos y pobres, ideales para obtener vinos de calidad, y una variedad autóctona, la prieto picudo, con una estancia en barrica más breve en este caso. Se recomienda jarrear un rato antes de su consumo. Envejecido durante 8 meses en barricas de roble francés (60%) y americano (40%).

The production region of D.O. Tierra de León is located in El sureste de la provincia de León, Castilla y León, España, a la que también están adscritos otros municipios de las provincias limítrofes de Zamora y Valladolid. Abarca la influencia de dos riberas, Esla y Cea, siendo esta última donde originalmente se formó la asociación de bodegas y cooperativas Valdevimbre-Los Oteros, que posteriormente daría paso a la actual denominación.
