A diferencia de los otros godellos, que fermentan en acero inoxidable, la godello de Mengoba fermenta lentamente en fudres de 5000 litros, un fenómeno que aportará matices algo diferentes al registro natural de los vinos de godello. A pesar de su contacto con la madera, la tonalidad de Mengoba es pálida, de textura ligera en copa y brillante. Sus aromas son también ligeros y sutiles, y el exotismo de la fruta (piña, maracuyá, lichis, melocotón...) se exhibe de forma pausada, ya que el aporte de madera y lías reduce sensiblemente la explosión de frutas; es un vino más terciario. Y en boca es exquisito: se acabaron los gustos a excesos de madera, un vino de textura liviana que nos deja un recuerdo de anises, piel de manzana granny Smith y bollerías, con buen equilibrio entre acidez "cítrica" y un elegante amargo que hace de Mengoba un señor vino. Godello fermentado en foudres de madera de 5000 litros y Doña Blanca en acero inoxidable. Criado durante 6-7 meses sobre lías.
