El Catena Chardonnay es un blanco con estructura y con toda la riqueza aromática característica de los vinos de esta bodega mendocina. Para su elaboración, se utilizan uvas de chardonnay de tres viñedos (Agrelo, Villa Bastías y Gualtallary) y el vino recoge deliciosamente la complejidad de los tres lugares mostrándose balsámico, expresivo, lleno de vida y de fruta, frutas amarillas, con un fondo de madera perfectamente ensamblado como todos los vinos Catena, gracias a haber reducido en las últimas añadas tanto la proporción de vino que realiza fermentación maloláctica (15%) como de barricas nuevas (sólo un 20%). De textura crujiente y mineral, es un fantástico chardonnay de los Andes argentinos. Envejecido durante 12 meses sobre lías en barricas de roble francés nuevas (20%), barricas usadas y en acero inoxidable.
