Tras más de 30 años asesorando viticultores y bodegas de todo el mundo, el matrimonio de consultores vitícolas Lydia y Claude Bourguignon presentan su primer vino de su nueva propiedad. En el año 1993, en una visita a Cahors, quedaron seducidos por sus suelos arcillo calcáreos del Kimmeridgiense, similares a los de Chablis y a los de Sancerre. Finalmente, en 2009 decidieron hacer su propio vino en la región. Buscaron parcelas orientadas entre el este y el sur con pendientes de un 10% y que no hubieran sido contaminadas por ningún tratamiento químico. Su primer vino, el blanco Laroque d'Antan Néphèle es un ensamblaje de sauvignon blanc, sauvignon gris, mauzac y otras variedades autóctonas. En nariz tiene el perfume de las frutas de hueso maduras, con notas que recuerdan las almendras, la pera blanca, el hinojo y la mermelada de limón. En boca es untuoso con una frescura vibrante y equilibrada que enaltece los recuerdos finales salinos. Un gran blanco de guarda que contradice la norma que Cahors solo es un terruño de tintos.
