Château Palmer es uno de los más grandes vinos de Burdeos. Clasificado todavía en la categoría de tercer nivel (Troisième Cru Classé), su excelencia es sin embargo comparable a la de muchos de los más famosos. Palmer se debe a su historia y es la expresión de su terruño, más allá de modas y tendencias, y para comprobarlo no hay más que catarlo: un vino de gran finura y elegancia, sedoso, con nobles aromas de cueros en el que las variedades merlot y cabernet se mezclan a partes casi iguales, con un pequeño aporte de petit verdot. Frutoso, floral y especiado, es un vino realmente complejo e incluso exótico con años de evolución, con una gran estructura y unos taninos potentes pero domados, generoso y equilibrado. Envejecido durante 20-21 meses en barricas nuevas (45%) y seminuevas de roble francés.

The production region of A.O.C. Margaux is located in Con eje en la la localidad de Margaux, su principal château (Premier Cru) recibe igualmente su nombre. Contiene 21 Cru Classé châteaux, más que cualquier otra comuna en Burdeos. Las comarcas de Cantenac, Arsac, Soussans y Labarde. Está en la margen izquierda de la Gironda. Es la denominación más meridional del Médoc, no muy al norte de Burdeos. Al este se encuentre el bosque de las Landas.
