Un vino honesto, que, a pesar de su juventud, muestra una gama rica y compleja de fruta roja madura, de nariz intensa, fresca, acidulada y con pequeños destellos verdes (verdores) que recuerda a los matices especiados de la ginebra y del agua de colonia. Una sensación un tanto extraña si no se ha probado nunca algún vino joven del Languedoc-Roussillon, pues Oriol trae temáticas francesas, madurez envuelta de verde frescura.

The production region of D.O. Empordà is located in La región de Ampurdán (Empordà), hasta 2006 denominada Ampurdán-Costa Brava, abarca la zona vinícola desde la Albera hasta la sierra de Rodas y la Garrotxa de Ampurdán, en España. El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
