Elaborado a partir de cepas de entre 40 y 60 años de edad, cultivadas en Marçà (Montsant). Petit Gènesi es un joven con crianza que combina la fuerza de la cariñena, la elegancia de la garnacha con el toque distinguido de la syrah. Envejecido durante 9 meses en barricas de roble.

The production region of D.O. Montsant is located in La comarca integrada por los municipios y bodegas que, hasta 2002, formaban la subzona Falset de la denominación de origen Tarragona. Se extiende por 16 municipios, la mayoría en la comarca del Priorato y unos pocos en la Ribera del Ebro.
