Chateldon es un clásico del Penedés, un vino de paladar suave, con aromas de crianza pero bien equilibrado en boca, agradable, sabroso y especiado. Se elabora con uvas de cabernet sauvignon, con un pequeño aporte de merlot, que la bodega cultiva en las viñas que rodean la ermita de Muntanans, en el Alt Penedès, sobre un terreno arcillo-calcáreo, de suaves pendientes. Envejecido durante 14 meses en barricas de roble. Posterior reposo en botella durante un mínimo de 24 meses más.

The production region of D.O. Penedès is located in La región catalana del Penedés, en España. Comprende 47 términos municipales en el sur de la provincia de Barcelona, y 16 términos municipales en la provincia de Tarragona. Se divide en tres subzonas: Penedès Superior, situada en el interior y en la montaña, con escasa producción debido a las condiciones de cultivo, pero de una gran calidad, Penedès Medio, situada al sudeste y la de mayor producción, y Penedès Inferior en la zona costera.
