The production region of A.O.C. Bonnes-Mares is located in La región Côte de Nuits de Borgoña, un poco al norte del pueblo de Chambolle-Musigny, y limita con la Route des Grands Crus en el este y el viñedo Grand Cru Clos de Tart en el norte. Con Pinot Noir como principal variedad de uva, destacan las comunas de Chambolle-Musigny (donde se encuentra la parte principal) y Morey-Saint-Denis en el departamento de Côte-d'Or.
