El objetivo de este vino es potenciar la fruta procedente de las variedades autóctonas garnacha tinta y samsó, junto con unas ligeras notas de madera procedente de su crianza en barricas. Un vino untuoso, balsámico, fresco, aromático y muy frutal. Envejecido durante 5 meses en barricas de roble francés (73%) y americano (27%).

The production region of D.O. Montsant is located in La comarca integrada por los municipios y bodegas que, hasta 2002, formaban la subzona Falset de la denominación de origen Tarragona. Se extiende por 16 municipios, la mayoría en la comarca del Priorato y unos pocos en la Ribera del Ebro.
