Algueira Mencía es el tinto joven de las Adegas Algueira. Se elabora con uvas de la variedad mencía procedentes de viñas relativamente jóvenes que crecen en un entorno idílico siguiendo el curso del río Sil. Allí, los climas mediterráneo y atlántico se cruzan para ofrecer lo mejor de ambos. Al no tener crianza en barrica, Algueira Mencía ofrece la cara más honesta del varietal, combinando a la perfección la madurez mediterránea con el frescor atlántico. Luce color cereza y cierta opacidad. En nariz se entremezclan los recuerdos de piel de ciruelas negras y cerezas con los de humo que nos transportan a su terruño pizarroso. En boca es jugoso, moderadamente tánico y muy equilibrado. Especiado y muy fácil de beber complacerá a todo tipo de consumidores por su pureza y elegancia.
