Este monovarietal de cariñena, o carenyena, como se denomina esta variedad en la zona, se elabora con uva procedente de viñedos de entre 50 y 80 años, plantados sobre suelos de licorella en la población de Porrera y cultivados de forma totalmente manual, con ayuda animal, sin maquinaria, apostando por un cultivo totalmente respetuoso con el medio ambiente. Envejecido durante 15 meses en barricas de roble francés.
