La Grande Année es la Cuvée de Prestige de Bollinger, un vino majestuoso, intenso, rico y complejo elaborado únicamente en las mejores añadas. Para este champagne, Bollinger vinifica exclusivamente uva procedente de Grands Crus y Premiers Crus y el mosto realiza la primera fermentación en barricas de roble de más de 5 años, un procedimiento muy poco habitual en la Champaña y que permite aumentar la complejidad aromática del vino y su potencial de envejecimiento sin que por ello adquiera taninos ni sabor de madera. El envejecimiento en cava se realiza con tapón de corcho durante un mínimo de 6 años y contiene sólo de 7 a 9 gr./l. de azúcar añadido. Envejecido durante un mínimo de 6 años. Tras el degüelle, permanece en la cava durante un mínimo de 3 meses.
