Bac de les Ginesteres se ha elaborado en la viña de "Les Corts", de 25 años de edad, situada en la parte oriental del municipio de Cantallops, una zona áspera y rocosa de granitos y pizarra. Para su elaboración, tras la vendimia, se ha dejado secar la uva durante 56 días. El mosto resultante del prensado de las pasas se ha fermentado en acero inoxidable y posteriormente se ha dejado envejecer en recipientes de vidrio a la intemperie durante 53 meses. Fermentación durante meses en depósitos de acero inoxidable. Envejecimiento durante 53 meses en recipientes de vidrio de 20 litros expuestos a la intemperie.

El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
