The production region of A.O.C. Chassagne-Montrachet is located in Las comunas de Chassagne-Montrachet y Remigny en Côte de Beaune de Borgoña. La denominación se utiliza para el vino blanco y el tinto, respectivamente, con Chardonnay y Pinot noir como la variedad de uva principal. La producción consiste en alrededor de dos tercios de vino blanco y un tercio de vino tinto, que se produce principalmente en la parte sur de la comuna, en dirección a Santenay. Hay tres viñedos Grand Cru dentro de Chassagne-Montrachet, Montrachet el más conocido, y 50 viñedos Premier Cru.
