Pago de Carraovejas es una de las bodegas emblemáticas de Ribera del Duero y una de las que más ha ayudado a prestigiar la zona. Fue fundada en 1987 por José María Ruiz Benito (Restaurante José María en Segovia) y un grupo de empresarios que plantaron 15 hectáreas de viñedo en el pago más célebre de Peñafiel (Valladolid). Desde el año 2007, Pedro Ruiz Aragoneses –hijo de José María– dirige el grupo Alma Carraovejas (Restaurante Ambivium, Ossian Vides, Milsetentayseis y, Emilio Rojo y Viña Meín en Ribeiro). Pago de Carraovejas es un ensamblaje formado mayoritariamente por tempranillo y una pizca de cabernet sauvignon y merlot. Un fantástico tinto para los incondicionales de los Ribera del Duero. Ideal para compartir entre amigos.

The production region of D.O. Ribera del Duero is located in La región de la cuenca del río Duero, de unos 115 kilómetros de longitud y 35 de anchura, situada en la confluencia de las provincias de Soria, con 19 municipios, Burgos, con 60 municipios, Segovia, con 4 municipios y Valladolid, con 19 municipios, pertenecientes todos ellos a la comarca vallisoletana de Campo de Peñafiel. Comienza aproximadamente por el este en San Esteban de Gormaz y se extiende hasta Quintanilla de Onésimo en el oeste.
