Un reserva riojano con buen color, agradable, de aromas potentes, equilibrado y nobles taninos. Un rioja de estilo clásico, elegante y expresivo, con un 95% de tempranillo y un pequeño porcentaje de mazuelo, de los viñedos ubicados en las parcelas Altos Vallecilla, Calvo y Camino de la Iglesia. Envejecido durante 21 meses en barricas de roble francés (70%), caucásico y americano. Trasegado tres veces por el método tradicional de barrica a barrica.

The production region of D.O.Ca. Rioja is located in Las regiones de las comunidades autónomas de La Rioja y el País Vasco mayoritariamente, y en menor medida de Navarra y Castilla y León​. Por la diversidad orográfica y climática se distinguen tres subzonas de producción: Rioja Alta (76 términos municipales en la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja y 1, Miranda de Ebro, en la provincia de Burgos, Castilla y León), Rioja Baja (42 términos municipales en la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja y 8 en Navarra) y Rioja Alavesa (15 términos municipales en la provincia de Álava, País Vasco).
