Castillo de Perelada es una bodega histórica en Cataluña, y caracterizada, en los últimos años, por elaborar vinos de gama alta, tan interesantes y exclusivos como el Finca Garbet o este mismo: Finca Malaveïna. Se trata de vinos elaborados desde el mismo viñedo, cosechados en el momento de máxima maduración para conseguir vinos potentes y concentrados, pero a su vez poco agresivos. Finca Malaveïna es un vino de color intenso a pesar de su crianza, rico en aromas y sabores provenientes de las largas maceraciones utilizadas en su elaboración. Envejecido durante 15 meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés y posteriormente en botella.

The production region of D.O. Empordà is located in La región de Ampurdán (Empordà), hasta 2006 denominada Ampurdán-Costa Brava, abarca la zona vinícola desde la Albera hasta la sierra de Rodas y la Garrotxa de Ampurdán, en España. El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
