Todo un fuera de serie, el Barbaresco Rabajà Reserva de Giuseppe Cortese nace en una hectárea de viñedos en la homónima y célebre colina de Rabajà, con una producción aproximada de 6.000 botellas que se elaboran sólo en las mejores añadas. Después de una escrupulosa selección de las mejores uvas de este histórico viñedo, con vides de 60 años de edad, el vino envejece durante 40 meses en barricas de roble de Eslavonia de diferentes capacidades (de 17 a 25 hectolitros), y de 8 o 9 años. Este largo reposo en barricas es esencial para garantizar las características intrínsecas de la fruta, sus taninos y su acidez, fundamentales para que el vino pueda afrontar una lenta evolución. No en vano, este gran Barbaresco puede envejecer durante más de 20 años, mostrándose siempre en perfectas condiciones, y siempre elegante y armonioso. En nariz emana aromas de frutos del bosque, hierbas aromáticas como la salvia y el romero, tabaco y cuero, junto a notas de sangre y incienso que componen un bouquet complejo y bien definido. En boca impresiona su imponente estructura, sus taninos ricos y finos, su profundidad, su intensa persistencia mentolada... Un vino noble y majestuoso que parece invocar sabores de antaño.
