Sin demasiado esfuerzo, uno percibe al acercar la nariz a la copa un carácter especial, noble, una elegancia y una sobriedad que urgen a mojarse los labios de vino. Su entrada es fresca al tiempo que contundente y en su paso por boca nada parece imponerse, y no por falta de protagonistas sino por una perfecta armonía entre todos ellos. Por supuesto tiene cierta licorosidad y calidez como corresponde a un tinto mediterráneo, pero también fruta nítida, madera impoluta y vibrante acidez. Ciruelas y cerezas se esconden tras tonos torrefactos y balsámicos, salpicados de violetas y recubiertos de un cuerpo jugoso y cremoso de gran pureza. Tras una decantación enérgica nos transportará al corazón del Montsant, a un bosque mediterráneo en el que el carácter de la cariñena da la mano a la amabilidad de una dulce y amorosa garnacha. Para la crianza se emplean barricas seminuevas, con un controlado aporte tánico. La madera totalmente nueva dominaría la estructura y aromas del vino.

The production region of D.O. Montsant is located in La comarca integrada por los municipios y bodegas que, hasta 2002, formaban la subzona Falset de la denominación de origen Tarragona. Se extiende por 16 municipios, la mayoría en la comarca del Priorato y unos pocos en la Ribera del Ebro.
