Volnay Santenots-du-milieu Esta es la mejor parte de la denominación Santenots, anteriormente clasificada por el Dr. Lavalle. En varias parcelas que Jules Lafon (bisabuelo de Dominique y fundador de la finca) compró sucesivamente, se encuentra en todas las 3.8 hectáreas de viñedos. Exposé Oriente, arcilla roja muy poco profunda, sobre un subsuelo de piedra caliza dura, el sitio es muy solar y temprano. La edad promedio es superior a 30 años, las viñas más viejas tienen 60 años, la más joven tiene 3 años. Los vinos son muy coloridos, ricos, profundos, con taninos presentes, pero con una hermosa elegancia al final de la boca. Predominan los aromas de frutas negras: mora, grosella negra, cereza. Más poder que en la mayoría de Volnay, es un vino de guardia (10 a 20 años).
