La diversidad de las viñas situadas alrededor del pueblo de Gratallops y el gran trabajo realizado por los técnicos de la bodega, son la clave de este potente, estructurado y complejo vino. Las uvas que componen el Clos de l'Obac son de las fincas Els Planassos, La Vinya Gran, la Coma de Dalt, La Coma de Baix, el Bellvís, La Capella i el Camí de Lloar, todas ellas con diferentes orientaciones y alturas. De las cinco variedades que lo componen, las viejas Cariñenas, de más de 50 años, junto con un importante porcentaje de Garnacha, confieren a este vino un gran equilibrio entre la fuerza y la finura, dando a su conjunto una personalidad única. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés.
