Cal Pla es un tinto prioratino. Ni que le cambien la etiqueta, el vino no les engañará. Con una nariz amable y una textura suave, se deja beber con facilidad y ayuda a romper el mal mito de que los vinos de esta denominación son duros, difíciles y caros. En absoluto. Cal Pla es de los prioratos de fruta negra, negra y madura, con más o menos compota según la añada pero fresco. Respira también un aire clásico y tradicional, tiene algo de antiguo en el buen sentido de la palabra, sin llegar a ser rústico. Es accesible y muy bebible. Fruta negra y notas de tinta china (parece que las cariñenas de Porrera dominan) completada con una sutil mineralidad. Es maduro, directo, serio, carnoso e intenso en boca. Priorat, no engaña. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas, de segundo año, de roble francés (60%) y americano (40%).
