Elaborado con cepas de garnacha cultivadas a 400 metros de altitud, en Gratallops (Priorat). Debe su nombre a la flor Ruella, (amapola, en castellano), que inunda sus viñedos en primavera. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas de roble francés.

The production region of D.O.Ca. Priorat is located in La región del Priorato (Priorat), situada en la provincia de Tarragona, España, y reconocida con la máxima calidad al ser denominación de origen calificada. Es una zona montañosa, de origen volcánico, y con laderas escarpadas, de manera que se cultiva la viña en las características terrazas.
