Niepoort es una bodeda fundada en 1842 dirigida por la familia Niepoort. Han contado con la colaboración de los Noriega para elaborar sus vinos desde hace muchos años. Realiza técnicas portuguesas tradicionales como el pisado de la uva, la fermentación en depósitos de cemento o la crianza en pipa, barricas de envejecimiento de oportos de 550 litros, y al mismo tiempo cuenta con nuevas tecnologías que le permiten trabajar la uva con sumo cuidado. Dispone de viñedos en distintas localidades, algunos con más de 100 años, y tiene su nave de crianza en Vila Nova de Gaia. Las uvas del Niepoort Conciso Tinto se vinifican en un lagar con la mitad de la vendimia despalillada. Macera largamente pero sin extracción excesiva. Fermenta durante unos 25 días y envejeció durante unos 20 meses en un gran barril de madera de unos 2.500 litros. Se embotella sin filtrar ni clarificar. Niepoort Conciso Tinto es un Dão fino y elegante, sin fruta pesada, que muestra todo el potencial de un viñedo viejo.
