Kühling-Gillot se encuentra en el municipio de Bodenheim, Rheinhessen, una de las zonas más próximas al río Rhin, con una colección de terroirs diferenciados. La bodega tiene sus orígenes a mediados del s. XIX y desde el año 2002 Carolin Spanier-Gillot y su marido Oliver Spanier regentan la propiedad, donde elaboran vinos ecológicos bajo la liga VDP. Mayoritariamente producen vinos con la variedad riesling, aunque también embotellan algunas cuvées con variedades tan nobles como la pinot noir, pinot gris y silvaner. Kühling-Gillot Qvinterra Riesling Trocken es un 'babywine'. La uva con la que se elabora procede de cinco pueblos diferentes, con distintos perfiles de terroir: terrenos de pizarra roja, marga arcillosa y loess. Qvinterra emociona por el imponente frescor extremo, típico de los vinos provenientes de las terrazas del Rheinhessen. Un vino que se degusta vertical, con síntomas de 'piñeralidad' (mezcla de piña + sensación carbónica) y albaricoque, un zumo de frutas marcado por el mineral puro de rasgos salinos.
