La D.O. Rueda se caracteriza por su altitud, entre 700 y 800 metros, con un clima continental, marcado por inviernos rigurosos y largos, breves primaveras y veranos muy cálidos y secos. De este modo, esta última vendimia vino marcada por la incipiente sequía y las heladas de finales de abril, las cuales sin duda marcaron el desarrollo de las vides, lo cual hizo que la vendimia fuera la más temprana de la historia de la D.O. lo cual no restó calidad al vino. La recolección de la uva se realizó durante la noche, buscando las temperaturas más frescas. Una vez en bodega se hace una maceración en frío durante un breve periodo de tiempo y tras su posterior prensado, se realiza la fermentación alcohólica controlada en depósitos de acero inoxidable.

The production region of D.O. Rueda is located in Las regiones de las provincias de Valladolid, Segovia y Ávila, en España. Integrada por 72 municipios de los cuales 53 se sitúan al sur de la provincia de Valladolid, 17 al oeste de Segovia y 2 al norte de Ávila.
