Criado, sobre sus lías finas, durante 9 meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés (Allier). Posteriormente se llenan las botellas de cerámica y se sumergen en agua de forma vertical dentro de tinas bajo tierra en zonas geobiológicas no negativas.

The production region of D.O. Penedès is located in La región catalana del Penedés, en España. Comprende 47 términos municipales en el sur de la provincia de Barcelona, y 16 términos municipales en la provincia de Tarragona. Se divide en tres subzonas: Penedès Superior, situada en el interior y en la montaña, con escasa producción debido a las condiciones de cultivo, pero de una gran calidad, Penedès Medio, situada al sudeste y la de mayor producción, y Penedès Inferior en la zona costera.
