Elaborado a partir de cepas cultivadas en la finca El Cuvilà, en el trermino de La Figuera, sobre suelos arcillo-calcáreos y de yeso, a 470 metros de altitud. Envejecido durante 11 meses en barricas de roble francés de 500 litros. Posterior crianza durante 3 meses más en depósitos de cemento.

The production region of D.O. Montsant is located in La comarca integrada por los municipios y bodegas que, hasta 2002, formaban la subzona Falset de la denominación de origen Tarragona. Se extiende por 16 municipios, la mayoría en la comarca del Priorato y unos pocos en la Ribera del Ebro.
