José María Manzanares empezó a ser conocido con el Palarea 2004, cuando su éxito llegó a los mercados internacionales. Fué galardonado con la Medalla de Oro en el I Concurso Los Mejores Vinos españoles en Asia 2009, también Medalla de Oro en la Cata Nacional de Radio Turismo 2010 y Medalla de Plata en el Concurso Mundial de Bruselas 2010. Se recomienda descorchar la botella al menos media hora antes de su consumo. Envejecido durante 24 meses en barricas de roble americano y francés.

Vino de la Tierra de Castilla is located in La comunidad autónoma de Castilla-La Mancha, España, en la parte central de la península ibérica, ocupando la mayor parte de la submeseta sur y formada por 919 municipios que integran las provincias de Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara y Toledo. En el etiquetado de estos vinos figura el nombre del municipio de la región donde se haya embotellado.
