Batuta sólo de elabora en añadas excepcionales. Es un vino con una buena presencia de taninos, aunque finos y elegantes, un vino de gran complejidad, concentrado, fresco y con un largo final de boca. Batuta está elaborado con uva procedente de viejos viñedos del pago Quinta do Carril, principalmente, con algo de uva de los aún más viejos viñedos (cepas centenarias) cercanos a la Quinta de Nápoles. Un vino que augura una excelente guarda en botella. Fermentación maloláctica en barrica. Envejecido durante 22 meses en barricas de roble francés.
