Elegante, fragante y con un buen potencial de envejecimiento, Laurona se elabora con uva garnacha y cariñena de viñedos de más de 50 años, y pequeños porcentajes de syrah, merlot y cabernet sauvignon, procedentes de terrenos de distinta composición que le aportan complejidad (viñedos situados en Falset, Marçà, El Molar, La Figuera, Darmós). Se recomienda decantar antes de servir. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas de roble francés de 500 l.

The production region of D.O. Montsant is located in La comarca integrada por los municipios y bodegas que, hasta 2002, formaban la subzona Falset de la denominación de origen Tarragona. Se extiende por 16 municipios, la mayoría en la comarca del Priorato y unos pocos en la Ribera del Ebro.
