Las cerca de 100.000 botellas que produce la familia Sedilesu nacen en el corazón de Cerdeña, en la comarca de Barbagia di Ollolai, donde la bodega posee sus viñedos en suelos de origen granítico que resultan ideales para una de las uvas más arraigadas a la zona: la cannonau. El trabajo de la familia Sedilesu se sustenta en la tradición y el respeto por la naturaleza. Sus cosechas se realizan a mano y, tras una meticulosa selección de la fruta, se procede a una maceración de hasta 45 días y a una fermentación tras la cual el vino es embotellado sin filtrar. Mamuthone es el producto estrella de la bodega y es una excelente muestra de la variedad cannonau de la comarca, nacida de viñedos de unos 50 años de edad. De color rojo rubí, en nariz muestra profundos y complejos aromas locales a arbustos mediterráneos. En boca es fuerte y potente, y compensa su notable graduación alcohólica con una frescura muy agradable y unos taninos finos y sabrosos. Un vino perfecto para el otoño que marida especialmente bien con carnes estofadas, caza y quesos curados.
