La uva proviene de cepas con edades comprendidas entre los 25 y los 50 años. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas seminuevas de roble americano (90%) y francés. Posterior reposo en botella durante 24 meses más.

The production region of D.O. Ribera del Duero is located in La región de la cuenca del río Duero, de unos 115 kilómetros de longitud y 35 de anchura, situada en la confluencia de las provincias de Soria, con 19 municipios, Burgos, con 60 municipios, Segovia, con 4 municipios y Valladolid, con 19 municipios, pertenecientes todos ellos a la comarca vallisoletana de Campo de Peñafiel. Comienza aproximadamente por el este en San Esteban de Gormaz y se extiende hasta Quintanilla de Onésimo en el oeste.
