Las Quebradas proviene de un suelo denominado caliche, con menor permeabilidad y, por tanto, mayor retención de agua y nutrientes, y una menor aireación. De este modo, según Pepe Mendoza, las características del vino son una estructura más marcada, con taninos musculados y unos aromas a fruta madura y minerales.
