Moncerbal es un vino con gran cuerpo y músculo, pero extremadamente delicado; un vino fluido y directo, con una textura impregnada de aromas, un largo recorrido y expresivo de su terruño. Moncerbal se elabora con fruta procedente de tres parcelas del paraje de Moncerbal, unos viñedos centenarios de uva mencía, con bajos rendimientos, plantados en vaso y orientados al suroeste (80%) y al nordeste (20%). Los vinos presentan un carácter fresco y atlántico y parecen recoger tanto el aroma de la uva bien madurada al sol como la frescura de su húmeda vendimia. Delicados, muy aromáticos y con taninos fluidos y sedosos.
Moncerbal es la apuesta por la mencía de Alvaro Palacios y su sobrino Ricardo P. Palacios en el Bierzo. Ambos se enamoraron en 1999 del potencial de la zona. Moncerbal es un vino de paraje que procede de viñedos de la Villa de Corullón, a una altitud de 700 metros, con un clima continental de influencia atlántica. Fluidez, mineralidad, aromas complejos y muy largo en boca. En palabras de Ricardo P. Palacios, «Vinos con taninos fluidos y sedosos, sabor intenso, frutas estrujadas al lado del perfume de muchas flores. Todo con una gracia que envuelve nuestra emoción al sentir lo más puro».
