La tinta y el petróleo no son sustantivos demasiado comunes para hablar de vinos, pero este Alaya Tierra obliga a tirar de ellos. Su opacidad es absoluta y su color, lo más próximo imaginable al negro. El vino tiñe toda la copa con una lágrima densa y muy oscura y, al removerlo, se desplaza con aires oleosos, con medida lentitud; sólo algún intenso destello violáceo rompe el hechizo visual. En nariz libera aromas de tierra húmeda, de fruta negra muy madura, de olivas negras y de laurel. Nada más entrar en boca, parece querer hundir nuestra lengua, pesa, y en seguida se apodera de cada milímetro de nuestras mejillas con un tacto que parece cosa de brujería. Es contundente y sedoso, sobremaduro y fresco; parece vivir en una contradicción permanente, pero es precisamente esto lo que lo hace tan especial. Balsámico, profundo, desconcertante y casi eterno. Envejecido durante 15 meses en barricas de roble francés.
