La monica es una de las variedades más antiguas de Cerdeña, presente en toda la región aunque en pequeñas cantidades. Argiolas, una de las bodegas más grandes de la isla no sólo por su volumen de producción sino también por su constante calidad, es una experta en la interpretación de esta pequeña gran uva y nos lo demuestra con su vino Perdera. Elaborado con monica (90%) y una pequeña aportación de cariñena y bobal sardo, Perdera es el fruto de una cuidada y moderna bodega, un vino que se agradece, con una muy buena relación calidad-precio. Una perfecta introducción a esta variedad, olvidada demasiado a menudo, que enriquece sin duda el patrimonio vinícola de Italia. De color rojo rubí, en nariz ofrece un abanico de aromas del que destacan sus dulces notas de frutas maduras, cerezas, fresas y arándanos, además de sus aromas a salobre y, más sutil, a pimienta negra. De sabor afrutado, inmediato y suave, de cuerpo medio y agradablemente fresco en su final. Repetimos: un vino bueno, versátil en sus maridajes y con una excelente relación calidad / precio.
