The production region of D.O. Ribera del Guadiana is located in Las Provincias de Badajoz y Cáceres, en la comunidad autónoma de Extremadura, España. La denominación está formada por seis comarcas vitivinícolas: Tierra de Barros (36 municipios), Mantanegra (8 municipios) y Ribera Alta (38 municipios) en la provincia de Badajoz y Ribera Baja (11 municipios), Cañamero, en plena Sierra de Guadalupe (5 municipios) y Montánchez (27 municipios) en la provincia de Cáceres.
