El joven Nicholas Maloney empezó su proyecto personal en California en el año 2010 con la pinot noir como protagonista. Un homenaje a su abuelo, el célebre reverendo John Weaver. Unos vinos que en solo 8 años se han convertido en objeto de deseo de los sumilleres de Nueva York. En 2014 y tras estudiar en Beaune y trabajar en diferentes zonas de la Côte d'Or y Burdeos, empezó un segundo proyecto en la Borgoña, donde elabora unos vinos que exporta exclusivamente a EEUU. Father John Anderson Valley tiene un bonito color cereza pálido muy brillante. En nariz es seductor y fragante, con una sinfonía de intensas frutas rojas como las grosellas y con un fondo balsámico y floral que recuerda al laurel seco y las violetas. En boca te acaricia el paladar con una textura extraordinariamente sedosa y etérea, con unos taninos fundidos y una fantástica frescura. Largo y placentero con un final marcado por los aromas de frutas rojas y un delicado recuerdo de frambuesas frescas. Una botella imprescindible para los incondicionales de la pinot noir.
