Elaborado a partir de cepas viejas de entre 45 y 100 años de antigüedad en Pesquera de Duero, situadas a más de 950 m. de altitud. Envejecido durante 24 meses en barricas de roble francés (60%) y americano (40%).

The production region of D.O. Ribera del Duero is located in La región de la cuenca del río Duero, de unos 115 kilómetros de longitud y 35 de anchura, situada en la confluencia de las provincias de Soria, con 19 municipios, Burgos, con 60 municipios, Segovia, con 4 municipios y Valladolid, con 19 municipios, pertenecientes todos ellos a la comarca vallisoletana de Campo de Peñafiel. Comienza aproximadamente por el este en San Esteban de Gormaz y se extiende hasta Quintanilla de Onésimo en el oeste.
