Elaborado a partir de una selección de los mejores viñedos de Saxenbourg, con una edad media de quince años, cultivados sobre suelo descompuesto de grava. Realizan una poda en verano obteniendo, así, una baja producción, pero de la máxima calidad. La fermentación maloláctica se realiza durante tres meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés y americano. Envejecido durante 21 meses en barricas de roble francés y americano.
