Gotes fue el último a incorporarse a la familia de Portal del Priorat, el proyecto de Alfredo Arribas en esta denominación. Concebido para realzar el frescor de los vinos prioratinos, una zona paradójicamente caracterizada por su clima seco y ausente de lluvias, en la que los vientos del garbí ascienden desde el mar hacia las estribaciones de la sierra del Montsant, a través del valle del río Siurana. Las uvas utilizadas en la elaboración de Gotes son cosechadas en el medio de la maduración, buscando los racimos de más frescor y acidez, para ofrecer un vino floral, aromático y mineral.
