Elaborado mayoritariamente con uva merlot (85%), Château Laforge se nutre de tres tipos de suelo: gravas, arenas y calizas y de esta diversidad nace su fantástica complejidad, tanto en nariz como en boca. Los aromas frutales son realmente vibrantes, de fruta roja, frambuesas y cerezas, enriquecidos con notas mentoladas y de eucalipto. En boca se muestra sabroso, con un fondo ligeramente ahumado y notas de sotobosque, notas húmedas; tiene buen cuerpo, es firme y equilibrado, con los taninos de terciopelo, y termina con un final muy placentero. Envejecido en barricas de roble francés.
