Aalto es el vino emblemático de una bodega que, en muy pocos años, se convirtió en un referente de Ribera del Duero. Añada tras añada, sus vinos y en especial Aalto, de precio más asequible, son objeto de excelentes críticas por parte de expertos y muy apreciado entre aficionados. No sin razón. Aalto es un vino de un gran equilibrio y complejidad, lleno de fuerza y personalidad, que debe sus virtudes a unas magníficas uvas de la variedad tinta fina (tempranillo), a una diversidad de suelos y a la vasta experiencia de Mariano García, el enólogo que durante treinta años fue el responsable de la elaboración de los vinos de Vega Sicilia. Para la crianza se emplean barricas nuevas y seminuevas, con alto aporte tánico.

The production region of D.O. Ribera del Duero is located in La región de la cuenca del río Duero, de unos 115 kilómetros de longitud y 35 de anchura, situada en la confluencia de las provincias de Soria, con 19 municipios, Burgos, con 60 municipios, Segovia, con 4 municipios y Valladolid, con 19 municipios, pertenecientes todos ellos a la comarca vallisoletana de Campo de Peñafiel. Comienza aproximadamente por el este en San Esteban de Gormaz y se extiende hasta Quintanilla de Onésimo en el oeste.
