Fundada en el 1729, Ruinart fue la primera Maison de Champagne. Durante más de dos siglos, la familia, convertida en noble (pasó a llamarse Ruinart de Brimont en el 1817) ha dirigido la Maison con la misma constancia. El chardonnay es el alma de los Ruinart.
